About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Program Manager to lead our hardware programs, specifically those involving government contracts. This is a critical role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional hardware and software teams and, preferably, experience working with government agencies.  

Responsibilities 
  • Lead and manage hardware development programs from concept to production to deployment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets. 
  • Monitor and report on program progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineering, software engineering, and external suppliers and collaborators to ensure seamless program execution. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations and standards, including preparation and submission of necessary documentation. 
  • Identify and address potential bottlenecks, risks, and issues, and develop contingency plans to mitigate them  
  • Lead cross-functional teams in driving process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance overall program execution efficiency and effectiveness  
Skills & Qualifications 
  • 5+ years of experience of managing hardware or software programs 
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred  
  • Proven experience in technical program management in the computer hardware industry  
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering programs, preferably involving government agencies. 
  • Strong technical background and understanding of hardware and software development processes and technologies  
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously  
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve project objectives  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively  
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
